June & July 2009

I wrapped up our summer in a cute little mini album I made last week. Yes, the album included many baseball pics! We didn't take a vacation this year or really do anything big, but it's often the little things that matter anyway. I enjoyed taking the time to document memories for the boys. (Click on the image below to view larger.)

I used the new Scenic Route Garden Grove paper line to cover tags that I cut from chipboard (packaging from misc. scrapbook supplies). The cover has an "overlay" of KI Memories lace cardstock. I accented the cover with a couple Jenni Bowlin calendars that I cut off the packaging for larger diecut calendars. To get my photos to fit, I made collages on 4x6 prints. The larger pics were six to a sheet and the smaller ones were 16 to a page.

One of my favorite things about the album is how I accented the binder ring that holds it all together. In addition to using ribbon and rick-rack, I also added some felt flowers and plastic American Crafts suns. As a finishing touch, I threaded buttons onto one of the ribbons.
