When you have the day off...

School was out on Monday and Tuesday this week. I declared Monday a pajama/scrap day. I didn't stay in my pajamas all day though. And I also didn't scrap all day, but I did spend the morning being creative.

I started by organizing my photos. I still had the last order I'd received stacked on my table. I saw these photos of Blake mowing and knew they'd work with some Jillibean Soup papers I had. I added a new Jenni Bowlin calendar card and some corrugated alphas and ended up with a layout that just makes me smile.
I love the color green!
I also decided to scrap photos from the day we released balloons in my cousin Tiffany's honor. I used scraps from the October Afternoon "Go Fly a Kite" line. I also added another Jenni Bowlin calendar and Jillibean Soup corrugated alphas (numbers).
I made a pocket for this page to include the newspaper article our local paper wrote. Turns out one of my aunts wrote Tiffany's name and birth/death dates on it. The balloon was found in Pennsylvania and the lady who found it went to the trouble to find out who Tiffany was and contact her mom. It really meant a lot to Sandy. It's a great story. Finally, I used some scraps from the old Cosmo Cricket "Boyfriend" line. They went well with Blake's new bike photos.
Simple page. Page complete.
I wish I could stay home and scrap every day!

Great layouts Amy...today is my scrapping day. I bought the Ali Edwards printers tray way back in May and today I completed it at last;-D

More awesome pages! Love the green tractor layout, too. So fun!

That is really neat that the lady in PA contacted Sandy. And there is a newspaper article about it.
